How to wear high heel shoes and be confortable in your feet... Just because you love it or your job requires you to wear high heel shoes, you have a multitude of personal reasons that I would not dispute and yes they look nice. The shoes can be replaced not your feet. Like all things used excessively, consequences appear. The compression of the foot in the shoe reduces the vital function of the foot which is to maintain the body in balance. Some muscle groups are put to the test, and others are inactive and that in the whole body and not only in your feet. I help my clients to have a better body position by reintegrating the mechanical function of the foot's arches .This reduces tension, injury and promotes the desire to rediscover the joy of walking or running. Now that you know it, yes, being elegant and comfortable in your feet is possible.

    • There is a poetry that comes from Joachim's touch. Some how parts of my tender body have voice for the first time. Each new session surprises me as more of these lost voices join with my voice and begin to make themselves known. The portrait of a life that is painted in my movement changes. What emerges is a more loving and elegant me. I don't know how I could truly say thank you for such a profound gift.
    • Joachim is clearly an expert in his field. He is knowledgeable, efficient, and creates fast and profound results. I highly recommend him.
    • I began seeing Joachim earlier this past fall after 2.5 years of low back and SI joint pain due to a kettlebell injury. Prior to this I had spent hours doing physical therapy, and had multiple rounds of very expensive injections (cortisone, dextrose, Platelet rich plasma, and stem cells), all which provided benefit, but I was still not where I wanted to be. It's now been 12 weeks or so since I started the Rolfing 10 series and the benefits of each session have really carried over to further my recovery. My back has more flexibility, and less frequent and severe tension/burning/pain since my 10 series. I move better, feel like my muscles/fascia and aren't as "stuck" to my spine. Best of all, reducing this pain and discomfort has allowed me to reduce the mental piece of chronic pain, and I am less afraid to move in athletic ways that previously made my back spasm/tighten up. Joachim is a critical thinker, a good listener, kind, and very professional for body work that can be a little uncomfortable and intimate at times. His clinical skills are amazing (said as a healthcare provider myself)- he can assess the problems just by how you walk, and gets right to work on them. I would recommend him as an alternative care provider to anyone working through a musculoskeletal injury/imbalance. Thank you Joachim!
    • Joachim's rolfing work with me was a game changer in my recovery in a long journey back from a massive accident. I had done lots of physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, etc. to support my recovery over a year+, but the real break throughs came in my work with Joachim. He is a master at his craft and his curiosity about and attunement to my specific physical situation and needs was the magic I needed. I highly recommend exploring how he might help you.
    • I highly recommend Joachim for anyone seeking to find an expert rolfer in Portland, Oregon. A friend suggested I have a consult with Joachim since he has expertise in supporting individuals with scoliosis. I completed the 10 series and I'm currently doing a session with him every two weeks. I am so grateful for Joachim expertise and how he is able to assist me interpret my body movements and limitations. His rolfing techniques releases tension and pain, increases flexibility and helps me connect better to my body, I have a new awareness of how to support my body instead of just enduring or trying to avoid my daily body discomfort. I'm so grateful for Joachim and how he as supported me, my friends and family members that now go to him.
    • Last night around 9:45, my dog dislocated her jaw while chewing on a hard bone. She is a pitty w/a very strong bite. She was in pain and her jaw wouldn’t function correctly. I called 3 different 24hr pet hospitals that had wait times of 3-8 hrs. In looking for an alternate solution, I remembered the work Joachim had done on me in the past & that he had worked on horses & other animals too. I called him at 10:00 to see if he’d be willing to help us. He came right over and worked on our dog’s jaw, with noticeable improvement. Today, we drove the dog to his office for a follow-up. After the 2nd session, the dog’s jaw is completely normal. I am amazed at the work he did and the vet trauma my dog (& I) avoided.
